STATEMENT
I am an artist/printmaker, architect and art tutor. I have worked in many mediums over the last 20 years, ranging from painting to video installation work and in the last 4/5 years printmaking at Morley College (under Michelle Avison and Maggar Balakjian).I have also been inspired by Hambis Charalambous (renowned printer in Cyprus) and his workshop.  My ongoing work and exhibitions in London and abroad have been preoccupied with boundaries (inspired by the Green Line in Cyprus) not just as separation points but, as invisible undefined spaces where worlds overlap and blur meaning i.e. Art and/or Architecture, painting and/or sculpture, abstract and/or figurative, real and/or fictional. This ‘inbetweeness’ characterises my experience and process in the work. The kaleidoscopic possibilities of Printmaking allow my psychological processes to unravel, often with surprising effects. The prints allude unconsciously to constructivist imagery and a personal narrative. Notable achievements, first site-specific installation on the Green Line -Cyprus ‘ 94 and 1st Prize at National Print Open- Cyprus, 2002.
